Lycoris sprengeri (Electric Blue Spider Lily) has strap-shaped, green foliage that disappears in July. In August, the flower spike bursts forth and attracts pollinators. Growing 14-16" tall, Electric Blue Spider Lily is ideal for planting among groundcovers or among annuals or perennials. It also makes an excellent cut flower. For the best garden performance, grow in full sun to partial shade. Grow in cool greenhouses, outdoors in warmer areas where little or no frost is experienced. In zones lower than hardiness zones indicated below, apply winter cover. Lift in fall in zones 3-4.
