Tree Peony Road Racer (Xu Gang)

Luxuriant and floriferous, this attractive ornamental shrub produces some of the best (and biggest) magenta-red peonies to date. The lightly fragrant blooms of Road Racer lure butterflies and pollinators to the sunnier garden sites, and make excellent cut flowers, too. Hardy and long lived, the plant grows 4-5' tall and keeps its woody stems year round, providing plenty of winter interest. A great addition to back borders and mixed perennial beds.
